Diesel Exhaust Fleet(DEF)

Diesel exhaust fluid (D.E.F.) is an aqueous urea solution made with 32.5°/e urea and 67.5*/e deionized water. It is standardised as AUS 32(aqueous urea solution) in ISO 22241. D.E.F. serve as reduction agent is selective catalytic reduction (SCR) in order to lower N0x, concentration in the diesel exhaust emissions from diesel engines. Urea reduces N0x to pure Nitrogen and water. SCR makes engines work more efficiently. N0x, levels coming out of the engine are driven up which decreases the generation of particulate filter regeneration whichburnsextra fueland allows the engine toruncooler.
